How a job starts

Get the part right.
Then build the process.

A drawing or sample is a good start. If you’re still working out the details, we can start with a conversation.

  1. 01

    Show us the part.

Send drawings, dimensions or photos. Tell us how the component is used and the quantities you have in mind.

  2. 02

    Agree on the details.

We discuss material, dimensions, tolerances, finish, shipping needs and timing before quoting the work.

  3. 03

    Set the standard.

Where appropriate, we agree on a sample or first batch so the production requirements are clear.

  4. 04

    Plan what comes next.

Confirm the production run and, for recurring work, agree on order quantities, scheduling and future changes.

From our Hamilton shop, we work with businesses across Ontario and the Golden Horseshoe, including the GTA and Niagara. Projects beyond Ontario are welcome; shipping and production schedules are discussed with each order.

Built for a working relationship

The next order
should be easier.

We’re interested in becoming the shop your business can keep coming back to. As we learn your parts and production needs, we can refine the way your orders are made, finished and prepared for shipping.

That means working together on sensible batch sizes, material use and a repeatable specification as your requirements develop.

A local material advantage

Local hardwood.
When the part calls for it.

Our salvaged hardwoods come from Hamilton and Southern Ontario trees. For components that suit this material, it’s a chance to bring a local wood story into your product.

We’ll discuss species, grain, appearance and material consistency around the job. MDF and other sheet materials are available for projects with different requirements.

Manufacturing
questions, answered.

Do I need a finished drawing for wood component manufacturing?
A drawing helps, but a sample, photos or dimensions can start the conversation. Tell Crown Point how the component will be used, the quantities you have in mind and which specifications still need to be worked out.
Can you supply prepared blanks, painted parts or assembled components?
Yes. We work with hardwood and MDF at the stage your business needs, from prepared blanks and machined parts to finishing and assembly. Preparation for shipping is part of the order; delivery arrangements are agreed around the project.
Can you manufacture wood or MDF parts every month?
Yes, we welcome recurring production inquiries. Share your estimated quantity per batch or month, material, finish and required schedule. We’ll discuss specifications and a suitable production plan for a long-term working relationship.
What are your minimum quantities and lead times?
Minimum quantities and lead times depend on the component, material, finish and shop schedule. Send an estimated batch size and required timing. We’ll discuss feasible quantities, pricing and production dates before you commit.
