We work with local arborists to rescue Hamilton and Southern Ontario trees that would otherwise be chipped. Black Walnut, White Oak, Maple, and Ash are processed right here.
After milling the logs, we air-dry them to relieve cell stresses, then load them into our vacuum iDry kiln. Slabs dry down to a stable 6-8% moisture level (approx. 1 week per inch) to prevent splitting.
No wobbly tables. We flatten slabs up to 56" wide and 12' long on our surfacing sled, then wide-belt sand them up to 52" wide to prep the perfect wood grain face.
We hand-select grain patterns and fabricate custom table bases. Finished with commercial-grade, water-resistant polyurethane to survive daily family life.
We don’t import wood from overseas. We work with local arborists to salvage Ontario trees that would otherwise be chipped or discarded. Whether it's Black Walnut, White Oak, or Ash, every slab has a story and a connection to our local landscape. We take it from log to lumber to table, right here in Hamilton.
