Every piece starts by saving local Hamilton and Southern Ontario trees. We recover logs that would otherwise be discarded during arborist removals or development, turning potential waste into timeless material foundations.
02
The Patient Cure
We mill and dry everything in-house. Slabs are air-dried for seasons to relieve internal stresses, then loaded into our dehumidification kiln to reach a stable 6–8% moisture content for lifelong durability.

The Custom Build
Brodie and Jay lead custom fabrication. Brodie manages custom cabinetry and architectural built-ins built to the inch, while Jay manages log reclaiming, lumber processing, and finished slab furniture.
Craftsmanship Born in Hamilton
Founded in 2016, Crown Point Wood Co. grew out of a shared belief that woodworking should be local, traceably sustainable, and built to survive real life. We aren't a production cabinet shop, and we aren't a mass-market furniture retailer. We are craftsmen who mill our own timber and design built-in cabinetry and furniture around the architectural realities of our clients' spaces.
Operating out of our workshop in the industrial heart of Hamilton, Ontario, we run a full-circle millwork pipeline. We manage everything in-house: from taking raw salvaged logs to custom milling, sand surfacing, assembly, and final installation.
LOG TO LUMBER
Mill-Direct Sourcing
Because we mill our own lumber, we have complete control over structural grain selections and final dimensional quality. Sourcing local Ontario hardwoods like Black Walnut, White Oak, and Maple directly from our regional supply chain allows us to skip the retail markup and pass the value directly to your build.
BESPOKE CABINETRY
Smart Architectural Cabinetry
Our cabinet division designs features built to fit your walls exactly, avoiding standard catalog box filler strips. We build cabinet carcass boxes using stable construction methods, focusing client budgets on high-visibility details like grain-matched wood faces, rift-sawn oak doors, and premium hardware integrations.
